(LV) Pirmais Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge 2011 aizvadīts!

Svētdien, š.g. 15.maijā, aizvadīts pirmais Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge (GCDC) izaicinājums Helmondā, Nīderlandē, kurā piedalījās arī Latvijas Universitātes un Elektronikas un datorzinātņu institūta apvienotā komanda, tās sastāvā bija Leo Seļāvo (LU DF, EDI), Reinholds Zviedris (LU DF, EDI), Ģirts Strazdiņš (LU DF, EDI), Artis Mednis (LU DF, EDI), Andris Gordjušins (EDI), Georgijs Kanonirs (EDI) un Vadims Kurmis (EDI).

Dalība izaicinājumā bija iespējama pateicoties pētījumiem VPP IMIS projekta "Inovatīvas signālapstrādes tehnoloģijas viedu un efektīvu elektronisko sistēmu radīšanai" un ESF līdzfinansētā projekta "VieSenTIS"ietvaros.

Izaicinājums notika Automotive Week 2011 ietvaros un tajā piedalījās 9 komandas. Vislabākos rezultātus izaicinājumā uzrādīja AnnieWay komanda no Karlsrūes universitātes (Institute Measurement and Control (MRT), University of Karlsruhe), Vācijā. Latvijas komanda, piedaloties pirmo reizi šāda veida notikumā, saņēma atzinību gan no organizatoriem, gan citām komandām, taču godalgotajās vietās neierindojās.

Izaicinājuma organizatori - TNO - uzskata, ka GCDC pierādīja, ka kooperatīvā braukšanas tehnoloģija strādā, lai samazinātu satiksmes sastrēgumus, kā arī palīdz attīstīt inovatīvus risinājumus labākai mobilitātei, un tāpēc ir nolēmuši uzsākto iniciatīvu neapturēt un turpināt organizēt šādus izaicinājumus vēl.

Kopā GCDC 2011 tika pieteiktas vienpadsmit komandas, taču līdz izaicinājumam tika tikai deviņas no šādām valstīm - Nīderlande (3 komandas: TU Eindhoven; TU Delft / Applied Science University of Arnhem and Nijmegen; Fontys Hogescholen / University of Twente / Waterloo University (Kanāda)), Zviedrija (3 komandas: KTH Royal Institute of Technology / Scania; Chalmers University / Volvo; Halmstad University / Volvo), Latvija (Latvijas Universitāte / Elektronikas un datorzinātņu institūts), Vācija (University of Karlsruhe), Spānija (Spanish National Research Council) un Turcija (Mekar Labs / Okan University / Fiat / Ohio State University (ASV)).

Divas no komandām startēja ar smagajām automašīnām. Visiem dalībniekiem tika uzdots tikt galā ar situācijām gan no pilsētvides (startēšana no krustojuma un apvienošanās ar pie nākošā krustojuma stāvošu kolonnu), gan šosejas (dažādu ātrumu profili uz šosejas). Izaicinājuma uzvarētājs tika noteikts vairāku braucienu sērijā, kuros tika mainīts transporta līdzekļu pozicionālais izvietojums. Attiecīgi, tas transporta līdzeklis, kurš visātrāk reaģēja uz satiksmes situācijas izraisīto šoka vilni un kam bija nepieciešama vismazākā ceļa platība, arī bija uzvarētājs.

TNO sleept met GCDC de iMobility award in de wacht

Op maandag 24 oktober zijn de iMobility awards uitgereikt. Het iMobility Forum reikte deze prijzen uit aan personen of teams die een bijzondere bijdrage leveren aan slimme en veilige oplossingen voor mobiliteitsvraagstukken. TNO deed goede zaken door met de Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge (GCDC) een iMobility award in de wacht te slepen.
