Hi,I've been trying to get the GCDCCommStackV3-openwrt-gcdc to work in a x86 system, but I'm having some problems, after following the installation...
Hello,
I was reading the "Building and installing the CALM FAST router" document downloaded from the gcdc site.
I was trying to install the GCDC...
I had installed GCDC in 2 laptops. Both had issues.Regarding one laptop i had posted it before thread. Now the latest issue is if I set frequency...

International teams competing to deliver the most effective cooperative vehicle-infrastructure system in predetermined traffic scenarios: that is the Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge (GCDC). An international and unique challenge in the field of cooperative driving. The GCDC aims to accelerate the implementation of these systems and contribute significantly to alleviate traffic problems worldwide.
Those bold enough to take up the challenge will have to negotiate their vehicles as efficiently as possible through a range of predetermined traffic scenarios. The extent to which the traffic flow is improved by this and the speed at which this improvement can be implemented will be uppermost in the judges' minds. The challenge is thus a unique tool for the rapid transfer of research findings to real-life driving conditions.
In May 2011, the competing participants will have the opportunity to show what they are capable of during the first GCDC challenge!
The inaugural challenge event will present the first innovations and technical solutions to the public. This first challenge is an initial benchmark for the teams, a first step towards a sequence of challenges. The GCDC project team will work hard with the participatinfg teams to organise a successful challenge in the interests of accelerating international development of cooperative driving.
The next step
We will organise the first GCDC 2011 challenge event in May 2011. This will be an opportunity for the teams to showcase their developments and assess their standing relative to the other competing teams. The plan is to enact a predefined scenario and create a shock wave damping test with CACC vehicles provided by the participating teams (scenario U1 & H1). The primary focus will be on driving in close proximity to the vehicle in front (fuel reduction) and on maintaining smooth traffic flow (throughput). The teams will benefit from international media exposure and the opportunity to test their C2C and C2I technology and will be able to benchmark themselves against the other competitors. The teams are under significant time pressure as the preparation period is much shorter and participation with multiple vehicles is permitted. All the documents for this 2011 edition will be made available via the website. Teams that want to participate in the GCDC2011 can register on-line here . The organisation of the GCDC has decided to extend the registration period.

Svētdien, š.g. 15.maijā, aizvadīts pirmais Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge (GCDC) izaicinājums Helmondā, Nīderlandē, kurā piedalījās arī Latvijas Universitātes un Elektronikas un datorzinātņu institūta apvienotā komanda, tās sastāvā bija Leo Seļāvo (LU DF, EDI), Reinholds Zviedris (LU DF, EDI), Ģirts Strazdiņš (LU DF, EDI), Artis Mednis (LU DF, EDI), Andris Gordjušins (EDI), Georgijs Kanonirs (EDI) un Vadims Kurmis (EDI).
The biggest inefficiency that you’ll find on the highway has to do with the acceleration and deceleration of the cars around you. This creates all these empty pockets of road and it has a weird domino effect on traffic.

Most GCDC teams have submitted a paper abstract. They shortly describe their team, their vehicle and their technical approach to cooperative driving and give insight into the progress and status of their work.
It is the organization strong focus to turn the 2011 GCDC event into a large scale event on the topic of Intelligent Transport and Mobility.
